Lectionaries: prescribed readings

What orders of readings (lectionaries, pericope orders) prescribe for worship: which Bible passages are to be read on which days. They are counted in their own units – prescriptions and calendar days – separately from the uses of the Bible on the home page.

A prescription is not evidence that a reading took place.

These numbers show what the orders prescribe, not what was actually read in services. They are never added to the headline number of the home page.
