Create an account

With an account you can submit contributions and corrections to LogoStats. The account is meant for people aged 18 or over. We send you a link to confirm your e-mail address; you can sign in once it is confirmed.

Required for your account

E-mail address Display name or pseudonym You may use a pseudonym; use your real name only if you want to. Shown to you and, only if you agree below, with your published contributions. Password or passphrase (at least 12 characters) A long passphrase is best. You can add a second factor later on the security page. I confirm that I am at least 18 years old.

Terms of use.

LogoStats records where and how Bible verses are cited. With an account you can suggest new records and corrections; the project team reviews every contribution before it is published.
Only submit information you may share: short citations rather than long copyrighted Bible text, and no private information about other people.
Licence: published contributions are made available under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence (CC BY 4.0, https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/). By submitting a contribution you allow the project and everyone else to use, share and adapt it under this licence. You are credited with your display name if you consented to that, otherwise with your pseudonymous contributor id. You can withdraw a contribution that is not yet published at any time.
You can close your account at any time on your account page. The privacy notice explains which data the account stores and for how long.

Moderation.

Not allowed: illegal content, private information about other people, long copyrighted texts, knowingly false information, spam, advertising and harassment.
Reports: anyone can report content with "Report content" on the page of the content or at the bottom of every page. The project team reviews every report promptly, diligently and objectively; people decide, not automated systems. If you give an e-mail address with your report, you receive an acknowledgement and the decision.
Possible measures: the project may hide or remove a contribution and restrict an account (no new contributions) or suspend it if it misuses the service or breaks these terms. The measure depends on how serious the breach is.
Reasons and objection: for every measure you receive a statement of reasons by e-mail: what was decided, the facts and the legal provision or the section of these terms it relies on, and that no automated means were used. You can object by e-mail to kontakt@bible-verse-project.org; the project team then reviews the decision again and tells you the result. You can always go to court.
Threat to life or safety: if content suggests a criminal offence that threatens people's life or safety, the project informs the police without delay.

Accepting the terms of use is not a consent under data protection law. We process the data the account needs in order to provide the account.

Optional

These voluntary choices are not preselected and can each be changed or withdrawn later on their own, each with one click. You can use your account without them.

Time zone (optional) Optional. It is used to show dates and times and is needed only for functions where local day boundaries matter (for example the reading diary); without a choice UTC applies. You can change it later on your account page.
