Citation gaps & passage lengths
Where the reviewed data has no citation, and which stretches of a chosen length are cited most or least. Three views, each labelled with what it counts.
Please note: No qualifying citation found in the selected dataset and filters; this does not prove the passage was never used.
Recorded passages are passages that were cited as such: a citation of exactly n verses of the sequence. Different but overlapping passages are never merged; sliding windows are a separate view.
Without an account, the lengths prepared after each statistics update are shown (most recorded first, 100 results).
Verse sequence: Protestant canon, 66 books (KJV numbering) (prot66.nrf). Counts and denominators depend on it.
Recorded passages of exactly 3 verses (not sliding windows)
How this was computed: rule CR-BASE@1, profile official@2, epoch 100
- Metric
- The metric: what is counted (e.g. uses per verse, occasions, sources). The number after @ is the version of its definition. (definition)
- Counting rule
- The baseline rule: every mention of every verse counts; a chapter or a range counts once for each verse it covers, and an unknown repetition counts as one. (definition)
- Profile
- The official profile of every public number: only reviewed and approved entries whose evidence quality is high enough. (definition) – reviewed and approved data only
